This is our Jinotega Community Coffee, a fully traceable blend of coffees from member farmers in Jinotega, Nicaragua, brought together as a “community lot” while still keeping track of who grew what (we love that). The result is a classic Jinotega profile: balanced, clean, and sweet, with enough sparkle to keep every sip interesting.
In the cup, look for black cherry and honey aromatics, followed by chocolate, apple and cranberry notes and a juicy body. It’s washed process, so it stays crisp and tidy—great for folks who want fruit and structure (no wild funk required). We roast it in our light-to-medium lane to keep the sweetness high and the acidity lively.
The Nicaragua beans from Coffee Roaster make, excuse me, a damn fine cup of coffee. If, like myself, you dislike bitter tones and prefer a lightly toasty and aromatic coffee then this particular bean might be what you are looking for.
OK, when I saw flavor notes of Craisins and brown sugar, I *had* to try this. Working from home, one of my regular go-to lunches is a fistful of Craisins and a packet of maple and brown sugar oatmeal in a bowl of plain Greek yogurt. So yeah, the Nicaragua appealed to me and it did not let me down. Paired with lunch, the coffee is the chef's kiss. It's so good, that I drink it all morning before lunch! NGL, it pairs perfectly with breakfast too.
This is literally one of my favorites from the Coffee Roaster! I have bought this coffee a few times now and have never been disappointed!
I was a little nervous about trying a light roast at home. This roast is tart without being sour. Delicious hot and iced. Easy to make with the tools I have on hand.
This is a bright, aromatic, and wonderful coffee to start your day.
