Matcha is made with a unique process; the leaves are dried, then stone ground into a fine powder. This tea has a unique benefit of significantly more antioxidants and other beneficial components, such as fat-burning and cancer-fighting abilities, because you ingest the whole leaf. One cup of Matcha is the nutritional equivalent of ten cups of green tea. Matcha is known for its strong grassy flavor and incredible energy boost!
On the plus side, this is very cheap as far as matcha goes. On the negative side, there are a few things:
* The matcha I got fresh out of the bag was was yellowing pretty severely.
* The foam produced by the matcha was very sparse and fragile.
* When I tried some with just water it was extremely astringent and grassy, to an extent that exceeds other cheap matcha I have tried like Kirkland bulk. The first time I tried it like that I literally spit it out.
When I tried it with stevia and milk it tasted okay, but it wasn't great. I love the Coffee Roaster's coffee, but I am not looking forward to trying to use the rest of the matcha.
Color is great, taste is every every earthy.
